Some scripts contain 2 or 3 variants for the same LRA to show different effects and modes of our part
- The “FREQ_TRK_ON” scripts are best for sharp effects, especially clicks which we use our frequency tracking mode to keep track of the true resonant frequency.
- The “-sine” scripts have a sine wave version of the waveforms – this can help where audibility is a problem but generally won’t have the best performance in terms of drive strength and stopping.
- Some LRAs also have a “-sine-tones” script, this shows effects using sine wave mode with some examples of playing tones using the LRA as well as vibration at the resonant frequency.


If you have one of our evaluation kits and your engineers would like to try the scripts:
1.  Make sure the LRA is connected to OUTP/OUTN connections on the motherboard / EVB and that no other LRA is connected to the outputs
2.  The LRA should also be firmly attached to a weight / mass . The motherboard weighs around 100 grams, to reduce the weight of this to around 50 grams the 4 corner screws/nuts should be removed along with the plastic weight, some of your more powerful LRAs require a mass of 200 grams as default so more mass should be added if these LRA types are used, alternatively the LRA can be mounted to an external mass.
3.  You can load the script within our GUI by selecting “load file” then going to the location where you have saved the attached file
4.  Select the script which matches the LRA type connected and click on OK to open it
5.  Go to the “tools” menu then select “waveform memory editor”
6.  When the waveform memory editor window loads up, Select “read from device”
7.  Select the “sequences” tab
8.  You can now click on the play button beside each sequence to feel the various sequences.
9.  Please go through each of the sequences to try the effects
10. If trying a new LRA, go to step 1 (please make sure you still follow step 6 in the sequence so that the new waveforms are decoded from the file
