The VC0827B029L was made for a client that mounted the motor far from the interconnection point on the devices PCB. It is designed for ease of connection to the PCB. Its uses a "double sided" FPC with contact pads facing the PCB that allow it to be soldered directly to the PCB. In mass production, a "hot bar soldering" machine may be used to efficiently solder the FPC to the PCB.
