Our VW0625SS002D brushless BLDC coin vibration motor is a revised version of our popular VW0625SS001D . Its resigned lower case assembly allowed us to eliminate the external FPC connecting the motors spring contacts, thereby reducing the motors profile substantially. The helical spring contacts are designed to mate with corresponding contact pads on the PCB. The motors brushless design makes it ideal for Hi-Rel applications or those with high duty cycles. A driver IC is imbedded within the motor so no external driver IC's are needed. Apply DC drive voltage as you would a standard DC motor. It is important to observe voltage polarity or you will damage the motors internal driver IC. This device operates on DC voltage only. A PWM signal can not be used to drive BLDC motors. Because reflow solderable SMD coin vibration motors are not yet available, a BLDC coin vibration motor like this, with spring contacts, can be used to streamline the assembly process by eliminating the need for soldering wires.
