The requirements for automotive electrical components are very strict.   Vybronics supplies automotive grade vibration motors which are compliant with AEC-Q100 Temperature Grade 3.   All of our automotive rated vibration motors have an extended operating temperature range of -40 C  to +85 C.    This is far wider than our standard motors that typically are rated for -30 C to +60 C.  

There are a multitude of applications for automotive vibration and haptic feedback including but not limited to driver safety alerts, flat screen haptic feedback and car seat massage. 

Automotive engineers we have worked with have incorporated our vibration motors in steering wheels, gear shifters, brake / accelerator pedals and car seats.   Any surface that a driver interacts with can serve as a haptic interface to the driver.

The “typical current” is the average current from 20 motors selected at random from a given production lot. Copies of the test report showing the data collected for all 20 motors are available upon request.
